Blairquhan Castle, one of the finest Georgian castles in Scotland, was built for Sir David Hunter Blair 3rd Baronet in 1821 - 1824 on the site of a previous castle dating back to 1346.
A much-loved family home, it has an atmosphere that is distinct from that of a hotel or club.
Blairquhan also has a substantial Lodge sleeping 21, and 7 self catering holiday rental cottages, and can, in all, accommodate up to 80 guests.
The Castle is set at the centre of a 2000 acre Estate of woodlands and countryside and an idyllic Park of about 500 acres laid out, from 1800 onwards, to take advantage of the exceptional opportunity provided by the beautiful landscape of the valley of the Water of Girvan.
